Navigating Visa Requirements for Your Visit to Lisbon
As you prepare to attend the PublicHealth Summit–2025 in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 24–26, 2025, it’s important to be informed about the visa process to ensure a smooth and successful trip.
Tourist Visa for Portugal:
Portugal is part of the Schengen Area, which allows short-term stays (up to 90 days within a 180-day period) for tourism or business purposes. Citizens of many countries can enter Portugal visa-free, while others may require a Schengen Visa.

Portugal Visa Information:
Business Visa (Schengen Visa for Conferences)
If you are attending the PublicHealth Summit–2025 as a delegate, speaker, or exhibitor, and require a visa, you will need to apply for a Short-Stay Schengen Visa for business or conference purposes.
Invitation Letter Process
To support your visa application:
  • Complete your event registration.
  • Upon request, an official invitation letter will be issued by the organizing committee.
  • Invitation letters will be sent only to participants who request them during the registration process.
Note: The invitation letter is intended to assist with your visa application but does not guarantee visa approval. Visa issuance is subject to the discretion of the Portuguese consulate or embassy.
Plan Ahead:
Visa processing times can vary by country and season. We strongly recommend applying well in advance and consulting the nearest Portuguese embassy or consulate for specific requirements and timelines.
